CAD Software Support Engineer
Location: Bedford, MA

Software Support Engineers work on all technical aspects of the software including implementation projects, customer training and after sales technical support services. This variation creates a diverse, interesting and challenging work environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in implementing and using advanced CAD software in engineering or architectural applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to users of Argos/Vertex CAD and product data management software by telephone, email and on-site.
  • Follow and manage problem resolutions from initial report to completion.
  • Conduct basic and advanced user training courses.
  • Adjust and develop customized system implementations by application development tools and database settings.
  • Develop a good understanding of customer requirements and their operational processes.
  • Actively manage customer support issues and advocate client needs working together with software development during problem resolutions.
  • Monitor technical issues that arise during training, implementation and technical support calls, and address the appropriate actions and resources to resolve.
  • Responsible for recognizing client issues and escalating them to appropriate company resources
  • Ability to manage your own time and actions, and to execute project completion for customer satisfaction.
  • Assist software development with testing, research, and resolution of issues involving the use and implementation of software.
Qualifications:
  • 4 year Engineering/Architectural degree or equivalent experience
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret technical questions
  • Previous CAD experience in building design and/or product design applications
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Must be able to work in fast paced, demanding client environments
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Travel required up to 30%

Plan Service Engineer
Location: Bedford, MA

Argos plan service department generates architectural and engineering drawing sets and estimates using Vertex BD software. A working knowledge of residential and/or light commercial construction practices together with CAD experience is essential for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Architectural plan input and drawing set generation
  • Setup libraries and construction rules to customer specific requirements
  • Generate complete architectural drawing sets
  • Generate complete construction plans and material estimates
  • Ability to manage your own time and actions, and to execute project completion for customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
  • 4 year Engineering/Architectural degree or equivalent experience in construction industry.
  • A thorough knowledge in production of residential or light commercial architectural and engineering plans and drawings.
  • A team player with focus on attention to detail.
  • Experience in using a CAD system in architectural/engineering production environment.
  • Must have knowledge of construction and/or homebuilding industry techniques and practices.
  • Past experience in working for a homebuilding company or an architectural plan service company is a plus.
  • Customer service skills, including excellent phone skills and the ability to resolve problems and conflicts.
  • Self initiative and capacity manage large plan input projects proactively.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical issues.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Travel required up to 30%

Sales Consultant
Location: Bedford, MA and other locations

Responsible for selling/marketing software and related services to the building industry. The primary target market is homebuilding industry. This requires a professional and consultative solutions sales approach and a capability to understand customers’ processes and requirements, working knowledge of product features, benefits, and technical capabilities; together with excellent sales skills. The individual will be required to answer inquiries on the products features, benefits, and technical specifications; manage relationships with customers within a given geographical territory; generate prospective customers through cold calling; mail marketing/sales literature to prospective clients; attend trade shows; and provide product demonstrations.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales of Vertex BD software systems to homebuilding companies.
  • Marketing and lead generation activities.
  • Demonstrate product capabilities to prospective clients on-site and through internet.
  • Consult prospective customers in improving their practices and operations with our technology.
  • Negotiate pricing and implementation contracts.
  • Manage customer relations and after-sales activities.
  • Advice development in understanding customer and market requirements and future needs.
  • Follow and manage customer projects from initial lead to completion.
  • Ability to proactively manage your own time and actions, and to execute sales process to successful completion.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or business related field.
  • Should have knowledge of construction and/or homebuilding industry techniques and practices.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Customer management skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret technical and business questions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Must be able to work in fast paced, demanding client environments.
  • Travel required up to 70%
