CUSTOMIZABLE PLATFORM
VertexBD is an extremely flexible CAD software platform that can revolutionize how your company utilizes your architectural drawings and models and streamline your operations. We deliver tools that are designed to fit the way you work, making your design process more flexible, efficient and productive.
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
VertexBD features the industry's most powerful architectural and 3D design tools with feature-based building objects and an object based
environment making design changes easy to handle. Designed with a powerful interactive 3D environment directly connected to the 2D layer, many
operations can be performed faster, easier, and with more accuracy. Working simultaneously in 2D and 3D allows you the ability to quickly switch
between models and drawings even in the middle of an operation and to view your project in any projection or elevation view.

AUTOMATIC OPTIONS SYSTEM
Included is a unique application that allows the design of buildings with optional structures and materials in one integrated
building model and database. VertexBD manages all the architectural and material information, and produces the engineering documentation and
estimates required for construction and manufacturing of buildings with specific option selections. This enables the automated and
efficient processing of custom orders with options, and simplifies the revision management and maintenance of your house model library.

FLOOR FRAMING
Floor framing layouts are based on the framing parameters defined by the user and the floor deck areas drawn. The joist layout and cutting
schedule are automatically generated and all components are labeled. Layouts can be easily customized by inserting, cutting, trimming and deleting pieces. These powerful and productive design tools allow you to provide your subcontractors with detailed floor joist layout drawings and cutting information, helping them to frame the floor with the minimum waste of materials.

 |
WALL FRAMING & PANELIZATION
Framing rules, details, wall heights, material lengths, optimum panel lengths are defined by the user in the system's relational database. Based
on these settings, the system calculates the studs, plates, sills and complete opening assemblies automatically panelizing the walls. Once panelized, the system generates detailed elevations and plate drawings which can be opened, modified and saved with the cutting list information automatically being updated. This guarantees framing components will be compatible with the rest of the plan and every component will fit in place at the construction site reducing delays and speeding up the entire construction process. Also generated, is an optimized minimum waste cutting list based upon material types and dimensions defined by the user. Output formats can be modified by the customer to conform to existing production standards. The system can also be designed to interface with manufacturing and production equipment to provide high levels of automation for manufactured building companies.

ROOF FRAMING
VertexBD can generate both roof truss and rafter layouts. Roof framing layouts work similarly to floor framing as layouts and schedules are
automatically generated, can be easily modified similarly, and all components are labeled. Roof truss profile drawings are generated based on the
geometry of the walls, ceilings and roofs. The 3D model allows you to verify and adjust the roof framing components to be compatible with the
other parts of the building – a good example of the quality capabilities VERTEX BD provides.

MATERIALS & ESTIMATING
Material take-offs, cutting lists and any other required reports can be generated instantaneously through the use
of the system's relational database based on the current status of the plans. The system optimizes materials and tracks
all waste or unused material. This material is monitored and if a use can be found for it the system will then pull that
material from the waste file and use it. Through this process significant material savings can be achieved.
MANUFACTURING AUTOMATION
VertexBD is a highly automated framing design tool for wood and light steel gauge structures. Its user definable, rule-based framing system
generates all framing plans, materials, panel manufacturing information and cutting lists for design, construction and manufacturing.
PLANT PRODUCTION TERMINAL
The Argos Plant Production Terminals enable production line workers for manufactured building companies to view framing and/or assembly drawings, cutting lists, and other materials information right on the production floor. By providing the ability to electronically transfer manufacturing information directly to the production line greater efficiency can be achieved while at the same time minimizing errors and down times that can occur through the use of incomplete or inaccurate paper documents.
If questions arise, the operator can add notes and redlines that need to be incorporated into the base drawings and database information on the main Argos System. This data can then be reviewed and modified by the plant design or engineering department directly without the need for the production line worker to leave his or her station.
MARKETING MATERIALS / RENDERINGS
VertexBD uses a flexible quick-shade rendering feature which enables users to easily view 3-Dimensional models with representative color and shading.
Also available is the Lightworks Rendering System which creates photo-realistic colors, textures, materials and highly accurate renderings and
walk-throughs. This can be used to produce sales and marketing tools such as brochures and marketing literature in-house.
The Argos Sales Office Presentation System provides automated building manufacturers, builders, developers, etc., with a truly interactive means
to present their products to potential customers. The system takes advantage of its integration with the Argos ' Building Design System by using the
information generated in the company's design department to help assist the sales and marketing efforts of the company.
By using the system's easy to use graphical interface, the sales representative has the ability to sit with prospective customers and instantly review
all the models and options which the company offers. By using a variety of graphic media including photographs, renderings, drawings, etc., the customer
can instantly compare the features of each selection and weigh them against their respective costs. For added realization, the customer can elect to
"walk through" the finished house to get a sense of how the finished spaces flow and interconnect. The images can be further enhanced by
using Argos' Lightworks Rendering System which can accurately represent numerous variations of materials, textures and finishes to give a nearly
"photographic quality" representation of the final design.

CONNECTIONS TO OTHER DATA SYSTEMS
An extensive range of transfer formats IGES; DWG, DXF, MI, VDA/FS, STL, SAT. According to the ACIS® standard, the .SAT file is shared by
many of the most popular CAD systems and CAM programs giving a wide variety of ways of integrating companies’ different data systems
with production control, materials and store management, and operation control systems.
