Manufactured buildings are an increasingly growing segment of the building industry. Modular, HUD-Code, Panelizers and Component Fabricators
have a unique set of requirements and processes from traditional site-built construction. Argos is widely held as the industry leader in
information management systems to the manufactured building industry. Since manufacturing profits are a direct result of efficient production
operations and better materials utilization, Argos provides manufacturers with the ability to minimize redundant production procedures and a
means to track and optimize every building component used in product fabrication and assembly.
Framing rules can be set to meet each Automated Roof and Floor Framing company's manufacturing processes. The system automatically calculates
studs, plates, sills, joists, rafters, trusses and the complete framing assemblies creating a high level of accuracy in component design, assembly,
and cutting lists. The result is more accurate and complete manufacturing data released to the production floor minimizing errors, production
disruptions and call-backs. To further automate the process Argos provides production view terminal systems and data communication systems to
manufacturing and production equipment.
Plumbing
The Argos Plumbing System, available only in Argos BDS, allows users to create riser diagrams, schematics, 2D layouts, 3D models and parts lists
of piping and fittings for hot, cold, waste and gas lines. Because the system creates the piping layouts as 3 Dimensional models the plumbing layout
can be viewed with the 3 Dimensional floor, and wall framing to check for conflicts and obstructions.
Once a layout has been completed the system then automatically labels each part and produces a pipe and fitting schedule.
Electrical
The Argos Electrical and Circuit Management System allows users to generate complete electrical plans and define the electrical circuits for
outlets fixtures and components.
A complete electrical bill of materials including wiring quantities is automatically generated. An automatic checking feature which alerts the
user to overloaded circuits is also included as part of the system's capabilities.
HUD-Code/Modular
A significant timesaving feature is the system's Automatic Shell Generator which automatically generates unit exterior walls, floors trusses,
ceilings ridge beams and chassis. The designer can then quickly and easily add interior partitions, electrical, plumbing fixtures and kitchen
cabinets and appliances.
Because the system accurately models each component, 3-Dimensional views can be quickly generated. This allows the designer or engineer to view
all the building systems such as floor frame, plumbing, chassis, HVAC in relation to each other to check for errors, conflicts or obstructions.
